In final Colorado push, Trump urges supporters to hand-deliver ballots
DENVER – Continuing his barnstorming tour of the country, Donald Trump rallied supporters in this swing state Saturday night, urging them to hand-deliver their ballots and promising to immediately repeal Obamacare.
Colorado will play a key role in the election days away. Trump and running mate Mike Pence have repeatedly visited, as has Hillary Clinton, her daughter Chelsea and, on Friday, former President Bill Clinton.
“We had 17. We have one left,” Trump said, referring to primary contenders. “I have one left before we make this country great again.”
Hours earlier, Trump was rushed off the stage at a rally in Reno, Nev., after a disturbance broke out in the crowd nearby as he spoke. Trump resumed his speech, saying "nobody said it was going to be easy for us, but we will never be stopped."
Here are the points Trump made in the hour-long speech in Denver:
Language/Clinton's endorsements: Trump attacked people who complain he’s used “crude” language, pointing out that a Clinton rally on Friday with Beyonce and Jay- Z was filled with raunchy language. His criticism generated loud boos aimed at the performers. Trump said Clinton needs rock stars to whip up her supporters because she’s uninspiring.
The political establishment: Trump criticized Clinton and the establishment as “stupid people,” and insisted he would hire better negotiators to protect American jobs.
Immigration: He declared “we will be keeping radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country,” a line that generated huge cheers. Trump said America will also build a southern border wall, and had the audience yell “Mexico” when he asked them, with a sly smile, who would pay for it.
Coal mining: The GOP presidential nominee promised to put Colorado’s coal miners back to work by loosening “job-killing” regulations. Although it’s a relatively small portion of the state’s economy, coal mining remains an important economic driver in northwestern Colorado.

The media: Trump repeatedly criticized the media – penned at the back of the room – for not covering his rallies the way he wants to. Many of his supporters, who feel the media is deliberately stacking the deck against Trump, turned around to boo and give the thumbs-down sign. “Tell the truth,” yelled one audience member, while another screamed “you suck” as he left the venue.
Special interests: He generated huge cheers by his repeated use of the phrase “Drain the Swamp,” which is a shorthand for Trump’s proposals to reduce the influence of special interests and insiders in Washington, D.C. Trump said he used to be an insider, but now’s he’s the ultimate outsider.
Clinton's email scandal: He suggested that Clinton will be indicted for her use of a private email server, which Trump said would cause a constitutional crisis. As has become common at Trump rallies, his supporters repeatedly screamed “lock her up,” a reference to the fact that his supporters because Clinton has gotten special treatment from the FBI and prosecutors.
