CNN's John King is a wizard on the 'magic wall'

Here's something that Wolf Blitzer has been saying all night while covering the presidential election on CNN: "Let's go over to John King over at the 'magic wall.'"

And then King gets to show off his sorcery.

When Blitzer walks over to CNN's chief national correspondent, he's clicking away on his touchscreen. With a flick of his finger, King shows the full electoral collage screen, he zooms into Florida, he takes a look at Michigan, he gets an even closer look at Virginia, to see how each precinct voted. After that, King compares the 2016 votes to those from 2012. He shares data, seemingly from the top of his head, about who came out to vote, and about all of the different ways the election could turn out. He circles, he clicks, he analyzes and he keeps on moving, despite interruptions from Blitzer.

John King is an Election Day wizard on that "magic wall," and viewers have taken note, as "John King" became a U.S. Twitter trending topic Tuesday night:

There's a reason King is so nimble on the wall: He has plenty of Election Day work experience.
