Good morning, Daily Money team, it's Nathan welcoming you to Monday!

📺 Several of us, including yours truly, stayed up late on Saturday so that you didn't have to, covering Elon Musk's much-anticipated hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live."

🚗 The Tesla and SpaceX billionaire CEO included his mom in his monologue, jokingly tried to explain the cryptocurrency dogecoin and acted in sketches while Tesla's competitors aired electric vehicle commercials on the NBC broadcast.

On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: I've been covering Elon Musk in various capacities for years. He's different than pretty much every other major executive – and he knows it, as he admitted during his monologue. And he often gets himself into hot water by being different.

But by cutting against the typical corporate grain, he manages to stand out in a culture where it's increasingly difficult to grab anyone's attention. So it should be no surprise that he has managed to cultivate a legion of devoted followers. It's not just because of his incredible streak of innovation. It's because of his quirky personality, as well, as you could see during SNL. How many other corporate execs would dare to be seen in bizarre costumes and feigning comical accents?

📰 Here are more stories you'll want to see:

1. The Colonial Pipeline is down and it's a big problem. Gas stations in the Southeast could soon face fuel shortages if it doesn't get fixed quickly.

2. Temperature can affect electric vehicle battery range. But did you know that if you start your EV before you drive, you might get more miles out of it?

3. Retirement plan contribution rule changes are in the works. Here's what you need to know.

4. Cryptocurrency may offer promise to your investment portfolio. But be careful. Here's some information on how to approach it.

5. Should you build your savings or pay off your debt first? Don't miss these insights.

6. Got any old Barbie, Matchbox and Mega toys sitting at home? Mattel will now accept them for recycling, and it's free.

I know I've got some Matchbox cars sitting around somewhere.
