On to our ...

💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: It's almost a relief that the widespread website outage that occurred earlier this week wasn't a result of hacking. Apparently a software update caused the whole thing. See, now every time IT tries to force an update to my computer, I'm going to warn them that they could take the whole internet down.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Pulitizer Prize awards will be announced today at 1 p.m. EST. Follow my coverage at USATODAY.com/Money.

📰 And here are more stories you won't want to miss:

1. Regrets? We have some. About 2 in 3 Millennial home buyers say they have regrets about taking the plunge.

2. Why can’t companies find workers? One reason is that, spurred by COVID-19, many are launching new businesses.

3. Are restaurant dress codes racist? Many Black Americans say yes, in part because restaurant dress codes are often unevenly applied or made up to keep them away.

4. Are you refinancing your mortgage to take advantage of low rates? No? You're not alone

Hope your weekend is splendid!
