Oh, Canada. USWNT suffers defeat and will play for bronze

Oh, Canada. The U.S. Women's National Team lost to Canada 1-0 in the semifinals and will now play for the bronze medal.

Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher left the game in the first half with a knee injury, and the Americans couldn't put any points on the board. Canada's lone goal came on a second-half penalty kick.

👀 What everyone's talking about: USA Gymnastics announced that Simone Biles will return to competition Tuesday to take part in the balance beam final. It will be her first competition since she withdrew from the women’s team final July 27, citing concerns for her mental health and physical safety. She took the bronze in the balance beam at the 2016 Rio Games.
