The Daily Money: Amazon to close some Go convenience stores in 3 cities

Happy Monday! It's Amanda Pérez Pintado with the top headlines to start your week.

Amazon plans to close eight of its cashier-less Go convenience stores in Seattle, New York City, and San Francisco as the e-commerce giant looks to cut costs.

On April 1, the company is shutting down two Go stores in Seattle, two in New York, and four in San Francisco. Both Seattle locations have been closed for some time, according to Amazon.

Amazon operates more than 20 Go stores across the country and remains committed to the "Amazon Go format," an Amazon spokesperson said in an email.

Car recalls alert

Tesla, Ford, Toyota, and Jeep are among the one million recently recalled vehicles, according to U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

Tesla is recalling 3,470 of its new Model Y vehicles over loose bolts in the second-row seats. Ford, meanwhile, is recalling thousands of older Ranger pickups because airbag inflators replaced under a previous recall may have been installed incorrectly.
