It's Tuesday, which means we're just one day away from the NFL schedule release (Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network, ESPN2 and ESPN+).
But first, Tim Tebow ... yes, Tim Tebow is making an NFL comeback, this time as a tight end with the Jacksonville Jaguars. What makes coach Urban Meyer, Tebow think this reunion won't end up as a disaster? USA TODAY's Nancy Armour asks.
Before the new 17-week regular-season schedule drops and football fans' fall plans become a bit clearer, we look back at the NFL draft, ponder which players need a contract extensions and, of course, wonder what is the latest scuttlebutt with Aaron Rodgers.
On the track, DJ Metcalf competed in the 100-meter dash at the USA Track and Field Golden Games on Sunday. He finished in 10.37 seconds, finishing 15th out of 18 competitors in the preliminary heats. While he didn't qualify for the finals, his time against elite Olympic-level sprinters was rather impressive for a 6-foot-4, 235-pound NFL player who hadn't competed in a track meet since high school.
