So long, 8-8 records and .500 seasons (unless a team manages to finish 8-8-1). Hello, 8-9 (or 9-8). As well as new standards for what is a tremendous season — 12-4 was a strong campaign and might yield a first-round playoff bye; 12-5 won't be quite as impressive.
With training camps getting underway, preseason games just days away and kickoff of the NFL's 102nd season looming, USA TODAY Sports' Nate Davis has revealed his predictions for how the season will unfold.
