Good morning, friends of The Short List! It's John, here with another helping of (hopefully) awe-inspiring stories.
The month of June coincides with the celebration of Pride Month in the United States. What began as a protest outside New York's Stonewall Inn in 1969 has grown into a global movement in support of LGBTQ rights and acceptance. Today, Pride Month is marked by festivities, parades, and other events honoring LGBTQ voices and experiences and drawing attention to the issues members of the community still face.
We hope this week's long reads enrich your Pride experience.
