Wedding brawl at Philly hotel leaves one dead
A massive brawl between members of two wedding receptions at a Philadelphia hotel ended with several arrests, police using stun guns and an uncle of the bride dead of a heart attack, according to local media.
WTXF-TV reports that the melee started with a fight between two brothers at the Sheraton Society Hill hotel and escalated after an object was thrown that hit others in the room.
The brawl was captured on video by a 15-year-old hotel guest, Max Schultz, who was on a sightseeing trip to Philadelphia for his birthday.
"People punching, cops coming in, trying to restrain people – it was unbelievable," he told WTXF/My Fox Philly.
Three people were arrested, with police subduing one man with a stun gun, WTXF reports.
The Daily Newsreports that police were expected to charge one man with assaulting a police officer. Two men in their 20s were cited for disorderly conduct.
