Sen. Marco Rubio's 12-year-old daughter is back at home after a golf-cart accident in a gated community.
"Amanda Rubio is home after being released from the hospital. She is expected to make a full recovery. Thanks for all the support and prayers," Rubio spokesman Alex Conant posted Monday on Twitter.
Amanda Rubio was airlifted to Miami Children's Hospital with a head injury on Saturday evening. She was visiting classmates in a gated community and was a passenger on a golf cart that was involved in a collision.
Rubio, a Republican and Tea Party favorite, was campaigning with GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney when he was notified about his daughter's injury.
