Your Say: Mars discovery inspires
- Images from Curiosity rover show an ancient stream bed.

- If there was water on Mars, there is a good chance some form of life existed.
Water once flowed on Mars, scientists concluded last week based on images from the Curiosity rover. Comments from readers on Facebook:
If there was water on Mars, there is a good chance some form of life existed. To show that possibility in our solar system is priceless. We are not alone.

Am I the only one who doesn't care what was there? I'm excited about what is there, and I want to hear more. I wish there was some way to drill a little and see if there is water under the surface.

This is great, but when a nation has a $16 trillion debt, now is not the time to be spending this kind of money. This is like a family having its house foreclosed on spending its last few dollars to go on vacation instead of using that money to get a place to stay.

Do you think that we put that money on the rocket and launched it along with these probes? No, money spent on NASA goes right back into the U.S. economy because these things are almost 100% made in America. That money goes to pay for my salary, my children's food, health care and college tuition.

So happy that NASA managed to get the rover on the surface of Mars without smashing it to bits. It has brought some good findings already.
