Your Say: Presidential debate opinions split ...

... ON ISSUES

I agree that better education and a better home life are important to reduce gun violence, but not the only solution. Mitt Romney didn't address the real issue of allowing semi-automatic guns to be available. We can't always identify when someone is going to snap, but we can certainly identify the types of guns that have no purpose for hunters and no place in our communities.

If I have to hear about education again, I'm going to be sick. You can educate everyone, but with no jobs it doesn't matter.

Viewers in Tampa watch the second presidential debate Tuesday night.

President Obama's time is up. Go, Romney, put my college grads to work.

Jean Peterson-Stone

Is it just me or should immigration policy be: Get here legally and stay; come illegally, get deported? We have laws for a reason. It's very simple.

Billy Johnson

Regardless of your views, gotta hand it to Obama for saying he's ultimately responsible for the deaths in Libya. That can't be easy, and it certainly will create some chatter.

... ON WINNERS/LOSERS

No matter what the issues were on this debate, Romney showed pure ignorance in his interruptions. As a person himself, he was rude. I used to think he would make a difference, and now I think he will only put America in trouble. If he won't even listen to the moderator to move on to another question, what makes you think he will listen to the American people?

Cat Cox

A split decision? Not! If you score on the basis of punches thrown vs. questions directly answered, yeah, it was a tie. If you score on the basis of truthfully and frankly speaking directly to America's pressing needs, Obama could only take cheap shots. His record is deplorable. No amount of lying and evasiveness can hide that fact.

Al Melvin

I don't think some people were listening to the same debate! Obama clearly won. Romney did not or could not give direct answers to some questions, especially on issues that impact me. His arrogance didn't serve him well.

Myra Walton

Does it really matter who "won" this debate? It's the economy, stupid. People might see Obama as more sympathetic to their plight, but at the end of the day, they will elect someone who can fix this desperate situation. That will be Romney.

... ON THE MODERATOR

If Obama does not win the presidential race, it sure won't be Candy Crowley's fault. Her bias was obvious. She helped him every chance she got and did all she could to make Romney look bad.

Edward Boothe

I thought she did fine. It wasn't much one way or the other. Outside of keeping both guys in the time limits, I don't think she could have done any better. In fact, it seemed like both candidates connected with her throughout.
