Watch all the 'Walking Dead' webisodes

Last week, Whitney brought you the exclusive news about The Walking Dead webisodes directed by veteran effects producer Greg Nicotero. Well, they're available to watch now, and just in case the fact that the guy in charge of making the zombies scary is behind the camera wasn't warning enough, consider this your official warning: There's some serious blood, gore and potentially offensive language in this series.

Now that I've got the warning out of the way, go watch Cold Storage. It's a pretty crazy little story, and features more than a few nods to the main narrative and cast of The Walking Dead.

On a related note, way back before the series started, I visited the downtown Atlanta set of the show and spent a little time talking to Nicotero about his work on the series. He told me a funny story about looking over the script for the series and reading about the scene they were filming that day, in which Rick Grimes rides into the city on horseback and gets pulled off his horse by a crowd of zombies. The scene called for the horse to be ripped to shreds by the zombies, and Nicotero laughed, because he just happened to have a life-size horse prop in his garage that could be stuffed with fake entrails for that very reason.

Apparently, these are the sort of things you accumulate when you make a career out of monster movies. Me? I have a closet full of comics. Nicotero has a hollow horse with an easy-opening stomach cavity.
