Early Buzz: Notebooks, NASA and Nutella

Bob Sassone, guest blogger for Pop Candy

Hey gang. Thanks for the kind greetings yesterday. I'd thank each and every one of you in the comments section, but I'm one of those curmudgeons who doesn't have a Facebook account (I know, I know — I'm on Twitter though!). So let me thank all of you here. Thanks!

Now, on to today's linkage:

- Nutella is going on a national Breakfast Tour to promote their spread as a healthier breakfast choice. You'll be able to get a free sample at the stops.

- Here are pictures from the 30th anniversary party for Cheers held over the weekend (and here's writer/producer Ken Levine's take on the get-together).

- SpaceX's Dragon, the private space capsule, launched the other day and is headed for a Wednesday meeting with the International Space Station.

- Yes, there's a Star Wars/Angry Birds crossover. Here's a preview.

Those wacky Angry Birds are joining forces with the crew from Star Wars.

- I'm not sure how one would celebrate National Moldy Cheese Day, but today is the day to do it.

- There's already a "Save This Show" petition for CBS' Made in Jersey.

- The Hollywood Reporter has an interview with Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner.

- Does your dog or cat get hair all over your couch? You might need a Monkey Couch Guardian.

- Do you blog about classic television? Then you might want to join the Classic TV Blog Association.

- I'm a bit of a "notebook geek," if there is such a thing, and these Field Notes notebooks are both simple and stunning.

- I have to admit I've never had a cake made with ... tomato soup! But hey, I'm willing to try it.
