-The booking wars over the presidential candidates and their wives continue: First Lady Michelle Obama will appear on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show, but so far hasn't confirmed an appearance with Good Morning America, says The Washington Post.

- The Gotham Independent Film Awards -- the first of the coming movie awards season -- announced its nominations, Deadline reports. Its "Best Feature" nominees: Bernie, The Loneliest Planet, The Master, Middle of Nowhere, and Moonrise Kingdom. In related news, Joaquin Phoenix hates the Oscars.

- Newsweek will stop making a print edition at the end of this year.

- The Atlantic uncovers Justin Bieber's "fake mustache industrial complex." I know, just read it. It's fun.

- Production on the alleged new Ghostbusters movie will allegedly begin in the alleged summer of 2013. Given that this movie has been about to happen any second for about 20 years (seriously), don't mark your calendars just yet.
