Super Bowl LIV

He once worked at the concession stand in Miami. On Sunday he won a Super Bowl in the same stadium.

We're a day late. We know. We trust you'll forgive us.

CHIEFS ARE CHAMPS: BUT DID YOU SEE ...

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hoists the Lombardi Trophy after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.

You saw the game. You know what happened. No sense boring you with those details. But here are the *other* stories from Miami. Stories of redemption, predictions seven years in the making and the ultimate display of sportsmanship:

FROM CONCESSIONS TO CHAMPION: Rashad Fenton used to sell concessions at Hard Rock Stadium. On Sunday, he won a Super Bowl there.

SPORTSMANSHIP ON POINT: Our Andy Nesbitt caught a nice postgame moment between Raheem Mostert and Damien Williams.

DAN WOLKEN SAW IT COMING: To be fair, everyone saw it coming. The inevitability of Patrick Mahomes leading the comeback.

MAHOMES KINDA SAW IT COMING, TOO: He sure dreamed about it. At least that's what this tweet from 2013 suggests.

TRASH TALK DON'T STOP: Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark did not have high praise for 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo.

IN PRESIDENT TRUMP'S DEFENSE...: Kansas City sure sounds like it would be in Kansas.

'I'M FIXING TO GET DRUNK': Chris Jones was ready to party.

THESE POOR GUYS: Those kneel downs seemed meaningless. They were not.

THANKS, DAVANTE: Sammy Watkins made a huge play late, and he has a Packers receiver to thank.

BIG RED WINS THE BIG ONE: Andy Reid removed all doubt that he's a Hall of Fame coach by winning his first championship.

OOPS, KYLE DID IT AGAIN? Fair or not, blame for the 49ers' Super Bowl collapse will fall at the feet of Kyle Shanahan

DOGGONE GOOD: After winning the title, Chiefs DT Derrick Nnadi announced that he's paying the adoption fees for all of the dogs currently living at KC Pet Project.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Chiefs have what it takes to be the NFL's next great dynasty

KOBE BRYANT REMEMBERED

LeBron James speaks before the Lakers' game Friday.

The Los Angeles Lakers played their first game since the death of Kobe Bryant on Friday at Staples Center. With plenty of mourning going on inside the arena and out, the night began with a moving tribute to the team's late legend that included a powerful, from-the-heart speech from LeBron James

Though the Lakers lost the game, it was an important first step to healing for the team and the city

“Every game is going to be emotional,” James said after Monday's practice. “But time heals all, and it’s going to continue to help us every game.

"We’ll continue to lean on each other and lean on our crowd. Our crowd is going to be with us. We have to continue to push forward. That’s what he’d want us to do.”
