Georgia-Troy NCAA game in Athens Regional pushed to Sunday

AP

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) β€” For the second straight day, Georgia had an NCAA Tournament game postponed due to weather issues.

The Bulldogs' game against Troy, scheduled for Saturday night, has been moved to Sunday at noon.

Georgia was supposed to open NCAA play on Friday against Campbell, but it was postponed to Saturday afternoon as part of a reshuffled three-game schedule. The Bulldogs won that one, but the ensuing Duke-Campbell game had a sixth-inning lightning delay.

Then Duke rallied for 11 runs in the ninth inning for the 16-8 win in a game that ended after 10 p.m.

The Bulldogs (38-19) are the No. 8 national seed and the top seed at the Athens Regional.
