Michigan State football's success on the recruiting front continued with another in-state commitment Wednesday.

MSU earned a commitment Wednesday from Justin Bell, a 6-foot-8 offensive tackle from Macomb Dakota in the 2025 class. He's a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 24 player in Michigan and 90th offensive tackle in the country, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings.

"1000% committed let’s do it!!" Bell tweeted, announcing his decision.

Bell committed to Michigan State five days after taking a visit to East Lansing. He is the 12th commit in Michigan State's 2025 class, which is comprised of solely three-star recruits. He pledged to the Spartans over West Virginia, Indiana, Kansas and other schools.

He is the second Macomb Dakota player committed to MSU in the class, joining his teammate DiMari Malone, a three-star linebacker who committed in May. MSU now has five in-state commits, including East Lansing's Jace Clarizio and the Orchard Lake St. Mary's duo of Charles White and Jayden Savoury.

A few hours later, the Spartans added a commitment from three-star defensive lineman from Columbus, Ohio, in Cal Thrush.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound lineman out of Upper Arlington High School announced his pledge via post on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “COMMITTED!!! I am very excited to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Michigan State University! Extremely grateful for this opportunity, and thankful for everyone that has gotten me to this point. Go Green!!”

Thrush is rated as a three-star prospect in 247 Sports’ composite rankings, the No. 107 defensive lineman nationally and the No. 45 player in Ohio. He’s the Spartans’ 13th member of the Class of 2025, all of whom are graded as three-stars.

Michigan State has picked up four commitments this week, including a pair of three-star defensive backs in Aydan West from Maryland and George Mullins from Florida.
