Dexter Fowler hits leadoff home run, busts out legendary trot

Andrew Joseph
Chicago Cubs center fielder Dexter Fowler (24) celebrates after hitting a solo home run against the Cleveland Indians in the first inning in game seven of the 2016 World Series at Progressive Field.

As both Cubs and Indians fans nervously awaited the start of Wednesday's Game 7, Dexter Fowler gave all of Chicago reason to exhale.

Fowler hit a home run to start the game and became the first player in MLB history to lead a World Series Game 7 off with a home run. Fowler's excitement carried over to his trot as he completely turned around after rounding first base and backpedaled to hype up his teammates in the dugout.

It doesn't get much better than that - a backwards trot!
