LeBron consoles Indians after World Series loss
LeBron James congratulated the Chicago Cubs and consoled the Cleveland Indians after the Cubs won the World Series in Game 7 on Wednesday night. In a video posted on Uninterrupted shortly after the game ended, James said the following:
"I just want to congratulate the Indians on an unbelievable season. You guys did something that nobody would ever think you guys could do, and we're very proud of you. The whole Cavs organization, all the fans, the whole city of Cleveland, we're all proud of you guys.
"You guys got nothing to hang your heads low about. Use this as inspiration to get ready for next year β¦ Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs and much respect to my hometown Cleveland Indians, looking forward to seeing you guys back out there next year."
James, along with a group of Cavaliers players, cheered on the Indians all series long, and they attended quite a few of the games.
Unfortunately for them, the Indians blew a 3-1 lead and fell to the Cubs, which may be a little awkward for some of the Cavs, since they've been cracking jokes about how the Warriors blew the 3-1 Finals lead (we may have seen the last of those jokes).
But anyway, with this loss, James will have to wear a full Cubs uniform to the Cavaliers' game in Chicago on Dec. 2, according to the bet Dwyane Wade made that he agreed to.
Sports are just so much fun.
