Forget about the rookie of the year award, Ezekiel Elliott is now an MVP candidate after carrying the Cowboys to an eighth consecutive win with a 209-yard, two-touchdown performance agaisnt the Steelers.

The best basketball player in the world seems to think Elliott is in the MVP discussion, at least. LeBron James gave the rookie a shoutout after his big game in Pittsburgh.

James may be a little biased. He is a Cowboys fan, after all. But Elliott has earned his spot right behind Tom Brady and Matt Ryan in the MVP discussion. Elliott leads the NFL in running yards and is on pace to break the rookie rushing record.
