Rose invited himself to Carmelo's Thanksgiving

Andrew Joseph
Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Muscala (31) and guard Kyle Korver, center, react as New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (7) and guard Derrick Rose (25) celebrate after Anthony scored a goal during the second half of an NBA basketball game, Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Derrick Rose's family is spending Thanksgiving in Chicago, so he had to make different arrangements for his first Thanksgiving with the Knicks.

He invited himself to Carmelo Anthony's house. Problem solved.

Via ESPN:

"My mom and everybody, my son, will be back in Chicago. So yeah, I'm thankful I have somewhere to go.

"I just asked where his family's (going) and asked if it was cool if I came over. He said yeah so I don't think I have to bring anything but an appetite. Yeah, that's the only thing I have to bring right now."

It's pretty nice of Anthony to host his teammate, and it's not like Rose told Carmelo that he was coming over. He asked.

But while I'm not sure about Anthony's Thanksgiving setup, Rose probably should bring something like, say, a pie because pies are delicious. He can't be the only guest to show up empty handed.
