Embiid furiously kicks chair after being pulled

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (21) blocks a shot by Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph (50) during the first quarter of the game at the Wells Fargo Center.

Joel Embiid was told he couldn't play in the second overtime period against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night because he logged more than 24 minutes, which is the minutes per game cap that the 76ers have placed on him after he missed the last two seasons with injuries.

The 22-year-old rookie was angry about being forced to sit and kicked a chair in frustration. In his 27 minutes vs. the Grizzlies, Embiid had 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

The game got chippy at times. Embiid was even shoved at one point, though The Process didn't seem too upset about it in the moment.

The Sixers wound up losing to Memphis in double overtime, 104-99.

Despite this loss and the minutes restrictions, Embiid has been having a fantastic season so far.
