Kevin Love goes off for record 34 points in first quarter

Kevin Love went off in the first quarter against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. The man was on fire. He dropped eight 3-pointers and scored 34 points - in the first quarter alone.

Love set a franchise record for points scored in a quarter, he made the second-most amount of points in a single quarter in NBA history, behind Klay Thompson's 37, and his eight 3-pointers mean he's only five deep shots away from tying Steph Curry's NBA-record 13 threes in a game (I know that's a stretch, but, hey, you never know).

The people of Twitter reacted accordingly, as they always do. Even the Sacramento Kings got in on the fun (they were the ones Thompson torched for 37 points in a quarter).

The Cavaliers bench had great reactions too.

At the half, like a great teammate, J.R. Smith said he told Love to keep on shooting. And at the half, the score reads 81-60, with the Cavaliers in the lead.
