Derrick Rose didn't go to Carmelo's empty-handed

New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (25) celebrates with forward Carmelo Anthony (7) after a play during the third quarter against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. The Rockets won 130-103.

Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade spent Thanksgiving at Carmelo Anthony's house this year. This is Rose's first year on the Knicks and Wade happened to be nearby in Philadelphia. On Friday, Rose and Wade told reporters about spending the day at the Anthony's.

Originally, Rose said he was only going to bring his appetite and nothing else (to which Anthony said "he better bring pie), but the Knicks guard actually did find something to show up with.

Per ESPN:

He noted that Anthony had four different types of turkey.

"They had everything you could think of. He's doing it right. Melo's doing it right," added Rose, who said he brought five or six bottles of wine to the occasion.

Also per ESPN, Wade commented on what sort of conversations he had with Rose:

"Obviously it was table talk, so I can't tell you all what we talked about, but obviously we talked a little bit about Chicago and he asked me how it is to be home. And he knows that my family is probably excited that I'm back at the crib because he's played at home before. And I think him being excited he's in New York - so just regular banter."
