LeBron says he relates to Ronda Rousey

It only took Amanda Nunes 48 seconds to bring the Ronda Rousey comeback party to a halt at UFC 207 on Friday night. Nunes won via TKO to defend her bantamweight title. It was a devastating loss for Rousey - "the biggest star ever" - that may be her last fight.

The day after the fight, Cavaliers star LeBron James told the Akron Beacon Journal that he can relate to what Rousey is going through because he says he went through something similar when he left Cleveland for Miami.

"In sports, in general, they build you up as high as they can, put you on the highest mountain in the world, just to tear you down. That's coming from somebody who has experienced it. And that's exactly what she's going through right now," James told the Beacon Journal on Saturday. "That's a fact. I know exactly how she feels because I was that athlete. I went through that."

However, LeBron's story turned out perfectly. Since leaving for Miami, he has won three titles and returned to Cleveland. No one knows what Rousey will do moving forward or how things will pan out for her. She said in a statement to ESPN on Saturday:

"I need to take some time to reflect and think about the future. Thank you for believing in me and understanding."

Other NBA players wrote messages of support to Rousey on Twitter.
