Why Green, Durant's heated exchange isn't big deal

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had a heated exchange during the Warriors' loss to the Grizzlies.

Late in regulation of the Golden State Warriors' eventual overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies - in which the Dubs blew a 24-point lead - cameras caught this exchange between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green:

Yikes. Not exactly what you want to see out of two teammates in the middle of a loss like this one, especially involving Green, who's been known to be a hothead in his NBA career.

Here's the thing, though: Fans and others will speculate there's trouble brewing with the Western Conference leaders, with questions swirling about chemistry.

But this might actually weirdly be a positive, even if Green is making his point forcefully. Durant told the media after the contest that the conversation was about how the star forward handled a late possession in which he went iso when Green thought a pick-and-roll play was the right call.

And Green's quotes afterwards were actually positive and on the mark:

"I'm actually happy we lost today because there are some things that we need to correct in order to win a championship. That's our goal. Our fourth-quarter offense has been atrocious."

When you've got a team full of superstars, these are the kinds of growing pains you need to go through. Remember, the Miami Heat had to sort some of this stuff out before they won rings with their Big Three.

If you're a Warriors fan, don't worry too much about that conversation above. It seems like this team knows it has to sort out some of these potential conflicts.

Now, it's just a question of ironing out those kinks by the summer.
