Rangers' Kreider uses opponent's helmet as a weapon

Fights are relatively common in NHL games, but even in the most heated of fights, I have never seen this happen.

During the second period of the Rangers' game against Dallas, New York's Chris Kreider went at it with Dallas' Cody Eakin.

At some point in the fight, Kreider got a hold of Eakin's helmet and, with no hesitation, started beating him on the head with the helmet.

The crowd had a loud reaction as that was happening, and it was clear why from this angle:

That's beyond a cheap shot - it's dangerous.

Kreider and Eakin were both assessed five-minute majors for fighting. Kreider somehow was allowed to stay in the game.
