Embiid tweets funny response to All-Star snub

Joel Embiid will be playing in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge during NBA All-Star weekend. However, he was not selected to be an All-Star reserve, despite his amazingly successful Twitter campaign.

Embiid responded the only way he knows how: with some fire tweets.

In the above tweet, he jokes that he'll never get to go on his date. He told fans in December that they should vote for him so that he could go on a date with the famous woman he has a crush on who told him, "Come back when you're an All-Star." And he also appears to call out Shaq, who on NBA on TNT said that Embiid has an unfair advantage because he gets so much rest.

In this next tweet, Embiid compares his All-Star snub to Donald Trump winning the presidential election (which he has joked about on Twitter before). Embiid would have been an All-Star starter if the voting process didn't change and only relied on the fan votes.

Additionally, the 76ers Twitter account replied to his snub with a GIF:

While Embiid and Sixers fans might be a tiny bit disappointed he won't be playing in the All-Star Game this year, so long as he stays healthy, know he'll be there soon enough. He's averaging 19.8 points and 7.8 rebounds while playing 25.3 minutes per game.
