Los Angeles - NHL All-Star Weekends are always a bit like family reunions. Sometimes people drag their feet on going but there are always some pretty great moments. Here are the five best from this year.

NHL 100 Ceremony

On Friday night, NHL legends across generations gathered at Microsoft Theater for the formal ceremony naming the 100 greatest players of the game. The event provided lots of unique opportunities, like seeing Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr and Mario Lemieux share a laugh.

Ryan Kesler's 6-Year-Old-Son

Ryker Kesler had the best goal of the weekend when he scored against Carey Price during Saturday night's NHL All-Star Skills Competition.

His post-game media interview was almost as good as the goal.

What rivalry? Players put aside competition for camaraderie during All-Star weekend but this…this is weird. Crosby and Ovechkin took a family photo, barely left each other's side during the skills competition, and played on the same line during the All-Star Game Sunday, where Crosby had the assist on an Ovechkin goal. That's a lot of BFF time for one weekend.

All-Star Dads

All-Star Weekend is always a great time to see a different side of players, and this weekend it felt like a lot of players were officially in Dad Mode.

Wayne Simmonds' MVP moment

Six years ago, Simmonds was traded from LA to the Flyers. Coming back to the Staples Center for All-Star Weekend was an especially sweet moment. He returned to big cheers from the hometown crowd and had three goals in the All-Star Game, including the game-winner. After the game, Simmonds spoke about how much the honor and win meant to him.

"It's a great situation to be in, and I'm just really happy right now," Simmonds said. "It's all pretty surreal right now. Obviously I realize what's going on, and I've got family here, and I got to enjoy it with my finance, so it's been awesome."
