J.R. Smith made an amazing joke while talking about LeBron

While fans continue to make jokes about J.R. Smith's terrible Game 1 blunder, Smith had a joke of his own to share at media day before Game 2 of the NBA Finals. He dropped it at the very end of his serious, insightful response in which he explained how it can be "a gift and a curse" to be LeBron James' teammate.

Smith hilariously added, "But I tell (LeBron James) all the time, he has a opportunity to play with me as well."

There is never a dull moment with Smith, whether he's wearing a ski mask in postgame interviews, talking about how NBA 2K taught him how to shoot fadeaway threes or buying cotton candy during a preseason game.

His teammates expect he'll redeem himself after his Game 1 error. James said Smith has "an uncanny ability ability to bounce back."

Game 2 is on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
