Daniel Cormier calls out Brock Lesnar, wants WWE title shot

UFC double champion Daniel Cormier made history Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, becoming the first fighter in UFC history to successfully defend his title in separate weight classes.

Cormier outclassed Derrick Lewis with his wrestling ability and took Lewis to the ground several times over two rounds, eventually finishing Lewis with a rear naked choke. Some fans in the crowd booed Cormier for dominating Lewis with his ground game - perhaps hoping to see Lewis land another stunning knockout blow - but the Black Beast never managed to land any power punches.

After the fight, Joe Rogan asked Cormier what he thought about a potential showdown with 41-year-old Brock Lesnar. The WWE superstar showed up to confront Cormier at UFC 226 back in July, and a Cormier-Lesnar main event has the potential to be a major draw for UFC. Cormier just has one condition:

"Brock Lesnar… when you come, bring that brand new WWE title too. I feel like being a WWE Champion too. Let's go, let's go Brock. Bring that belt with you if you come to my house."

Lesnar became the WWE Universal Champion last Friday at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view, and given the fact that Lesnar isn't likely to defend his title any time soon, he could still be a WWE champion by the time a fight with Cormier materializes. Lesnar is still serving a suspension imposed by USADA until January of 2019.
