Panthers safety Eric Reid put together a strong performance in Carolina's win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He was the game-ball recipient after his interception and three tackles.

While Reid was smiling when Ron Rivera awarded him with the game ball, Reid told ESPN Radio after the game that he won't truly be happy until Colin Kaepernick is back in the NFL.

According to ESPN's Andrew Hawkins, Reid said:

"I'm happy to be able to help the Panthers win, but until (Kaepernick) gets back in the league, I can't be wholly happy."

Kaepernick, who remains out of the NFL following his protest of racial injustice and police brutality, took notice to Reid's postgame remarks. He thanked his former teammate for the support.
