New York Giants draft Duke QB Daniel Jones sixth overall, and Twitter has a chuckle

The New York Giants took a bit of a gamble with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, selecting Duke quarterback Daniel Jones.

Jones is a tall pocket passer who can make some decent throws and is a good runner, but he didn't exactly have a great career at Duke, and was described by one analyst in the run-up to the draft of having the personality of Eli Manning with a "little less pizzazz."

Twitter had a field day with the pick. The Giants had managed to go and find their replacement QB, taking the sixth pick to do so, and got someone a lot of people didn't have in their top 50 prospects in the draft.

People laughed. Giants fans got upset.

Duke quarterback Daniel Jones was taken sixth overall by the New York Giants.
