Dak Prescott and Hayden Hurst shared a classy postgame exchange over mental health awareness

Earlier this month, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spoke about his brother, Jace, who died by suicide in April. That huge loss, which came at the start of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, had Prescott dealing with depression.

As quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, he made the courageous decision to speak out about his mental health and depression — even while facing unwarranted stigmatization by talking heads like Skip Bayless.

Prescott's willingness to speak about mental health clearly resonated with Falcons tight end Hayden Hurst whose Hayden Hurst Family Foundation works to raise awareness for mental health issues in children.

After the game, Hurst made a point to catch up with Prescott and commend him for those remarks. The exchange was captured on the Falcons' mic'd-up video from Sunday's game.

Hurst said: "I've got a lot of respect for what you did. Came out and talked about -- me and my mom have a foundation about suicide prevention. Respect the hell outta you for talking about it, man."
