For The Win

This is the Morning Win, by Andy Nesbitt.

Avery Williamson started at linebacker on Sunday for the Jets. He had five solo tackles and assisted on four other tackles in his team's 35-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Then hours later on Sunday night he got the best news a member of the 2020 Jets (or, really, any Jets team) could get - he was being traded.

Making things even better for Williamson, he was being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you're keeping track at home, Williamson went from being on the 0-8 Jets to the 7-0 Steelers.

He went from being on the lone winless team to being on the lone undefeated team.

That has to feel absolutely incredible!

The Steelers beat the rival Ravens on Sunday and have arguably the best defense in the league.

The Steelers are a stable franchise that has serious plans of contending for a Super Bowl title.

The Jets are a not even close to being a stable franchise and will once again be drafting very early in the first round.

I don't know if Williamson is going to fly to Pittsburgh or just skip all the way there.

I'd probably choose the skipping option.

Congrats on your new life, Avery.
