It's a huge bummer that Kenny Mayne is leaving ESPN, with the longtime SportsCenter anchor also known for his witty, wacky Sunday NFL Countdown segments called "The Mayne Event" leaving after 27 years due to being a "salary cap casualty," as he tweeted Monday.

Thanks to the internet (which also gave us the amazing letter he sent that got him hired), we have some of his best work archived and can watch it over and over again. So we've collected some of what we could find - a few famous SportsCenter moments, the commercials, and of course some of his "Mayne Event" segments that are on YouTube - and posted them below.

1. This recap of Jean van de Velde's 1999 British Open meltdown

It’s all there — he’s great at doing highlights while mixing in some really dry humor.

2. "YAHTZEE!"

A terrific “This is SportsCenter” spot:

3. The Marshawn Lynch at Applebee's and Dave and Buster's "Mayne Event"

Seriously, this was the best:

4. This Cowboys/Sopranos "Mayne Event"

Fantastic. I just love how he got players/coaches/everyone to deliver hilarious lines. And look at all the cameos!

5. A Super Bowl "Mayne Event" on players not in the Super Bowl

Silly.

6. The last Saints fan wearing a paper bag

Some good punchlines here at the end:

7. Here's Kenny Mayne browsing NASCAR websites

I have never seen this until today, but this is so darn weird and funny.

8. A Big Ben "Mayne Event"

9. Mayne tries to throw a fast first pitch at a Seattle Mariners game

Could he toss the first pitch 75 MPH? No, but the former QB got up to 68!

10. Jerry Rice playing flag football after retirement

Another classic.

11. The Packers get in on "Mayne Event"

Good time to watch these with the Aaron Rodgers drama swirling:

12. "JENGA!" with John Randle

JENGA!

13. More Marshawn Lynch gold.

This is just ridiculous.
