How do the Clippers keep doing this?

This is the Morning Win, by Andy Nesbitt.

Last week a lot of NBA fans made jokes about how the Clippers down 0-2 in a series are the greatest team ever.

And you know what? They might be right.

OK, OK - let's not get carried away here. They aren't the best team ever, obviously, but they do become very darn good when things are stacked against them.

The latest proof of that came last night in Phoenix when they beat the Suns, 116-102, in Game 5 to save their season and force a Game 6 back in LA tomorrow night.

Paul George had a masterful performance, finishing with 41 points (a playoff career high), 13 rebounds, six assists, and three steals. His teammates were rightfully in awe of his performance and DeMarcus Cousins had a perfect message for the George's haters, who have been very vocal lately.

The Clippers were down 0-2 and then 3-2 in the first round against the Mavs and came back and won that series in seven games. Then they were down 0-2 to the Jazz in the conference semifinals and won that series in six games.

Oh, and they've been doing it lately without Kawhi Leonard, who is one of the best players in the world when he's healthy.

What the Clippers did last night might have been their most impressive performance so far. A sold-out crowd in Phoenix was ready for a party. They were ready to see their team punch its ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. They were ready to tear the roof off the place.

But they never got the chance to do any of that. The Clippers led for most of the game and while the Suns made some runs and the crowd got into it, George and the Clippers always had an answer.

Because of course they did. This is what they do, after all.

The Suns are a very talented team and a very young team (besides Chris Paul) that has everything it takes to go to the Finals and fight for a title.

But it looks like right now they're going to have a very big fight on their hands because this Clippers team isn't going to go away softly.

Game 6 is gonna be a fun one.
