The Falcons' offense robbed the world of a 28-3 loss to the Patriots

This is the Morning Win. Charles Curtis is filling in for Andy Nesbitt.

Come on, Falcons.

All we needed was one field goal from Atlanta's offene. One drive against a now-elite New England Patriots defense that's locking down teams again, just a few passes to Kyle Pitts or something and then a field goal, just like last week against the Cowboys.

Then? The Patriots needed one more of their own on Thursday night.

But no. We were robbed. The Pats won 25-0, just two measly field goals short of a score that would have broken Twitter.

It was all lining up perfectly. We got a 28-3 score during last week's Falcons' blowout loss to the Cowboys, a reminder of the time Atlanta was up by that score in Super Bowl LI to the Pats before blowing it and becoming a meme that won't die.

This week? You could bet on whether there would be a 28-3 score, a bet that would have paid out +15283. That's right, a $100 bet would have won you over $15,000. Heck, there was a lunar eclipse happening after the final whistle that was supposed to last 3 HOURS AND 28 MINUTES YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP.

All we needed was a pair of field goals. You know if that was possible - the Pats' final touchdown came with 1:22 left in the fourth, so alas, probably wasn't happening - Bill Belichick would have told the offense to run a two-minute drill to get there.

We were robbed. Thanks a lot, Falcons.
