Randeep Hooda, an award-winning actor in India, posted video of an “extremely rare” sighting of six tigers strolling behind a safari truck at the Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary in Maharashtra, India.

Some tourists are lucky to see one tiger in the wild let alone six. But this tourist hit the safari jackpot.

It wasn’t clear who shot the video, though. RepublicWorld.com reported that Hooda had received the clip through WhatsApp and wrote on Twitter “Chappar Phad ke,” meaning “tearing through the roof.”

The Indian Express called it an “extremely rare” sighting, and stated that “the tourism department of the country and state of Maharashtra thanked the Bollywood actor for sharing and highlighting the beauty of [the] Indian forest, hoping it would boost the pandemic-hit tourism industry.”

Ramesh Pandey, a senior Indian Forest Service official, chimed in on Twitter with a message that reflected the rarity of such a sighting, saying, “This is something really interesting happening. In the recent past we saw groups of 5 tigers in Panna, Pench and Dudhwa and now 6 tigers together is something really incredible.”
