Last year: Bryce Molder won his first PGA Tour title, outlasting Briny Baird with a birdie on the sixth hole of a playoff.
Last week: Ryan Moore won the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas for his second tour title, beating Brendon de Jonge by a stroke. Moore is a former UNLV player and lives in Las Vegas.
Notes: The tournament is the second of the four Fall Series events. ... European Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts is in the field. As a special temporary PGA Tour member, he needs to finish the equivalent of 125th on the money list to earn a full 2013 card. The Belgian player has earned $652,886, enough now for the 120th spot. ... Ernie Els also is in the field along with Vijay Singh, U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III and recent college stars Patrick Cantlay, Luke Guthrie, John Peterson, Patrick Reed and Kelly Kraft. ... Mike Weir also is entered. The Canadian has failed to make a cut this year. ... The McGladrey Classic is next week in Sea Island, Ga., followed by the CIMB Classic in Malaysia.

Last year: South Korea's Na Yeon Choi beat top-ranked Yani Tseng by a stroke.
Last event: Stacy Lewis won the Navistar LPGA Classic on Sept. 23 in Prattville, Ala., for her third victory of the year. Lexi Thompson was second, two strokes back.
Notes: The tournament opens the four-event Asian swing. The HanaBank Championship is next week in South Korea, followed by the LPGA Taiwan Championship and Mizuno Classic in Japan. ... Choi won the U.S. Women's Open in July. She's in the field along with fellow major champions Sun Young Yoo (Kraft Nabisco), Shanshan Feng (LPGA Championship) and Jiyai Shin (Women's British Open). The top-ranked Tseng also is playing along with Lewis, Thompson, Michelle Wie, money leader Inbee Park, Ai Miyazato, Suzann Pettersen, Brittany Lincicome, Paula Creamer and Cristie Kerr. ... Jimin Kang won the inaugural event in 2010.

Last year: Mark Wiebe won the event in June, beating James Mason with a par on the third hole of a playoff. Mason missed a 4-foot par putt on the hole.
Last week: Bernhard Langer rallied to win the SAS Championship in Cary. N.C., for his second victory of the year. The German closed with a 9-under 63 for a two-stroke victory. He took the lead in the Charles Schwab Cup points race and moved into the top spot on the money list.
Notes: Langer has a 69-point lead over Tom Lehman in the Schwab Cup competition for a $1 million annuity. Lehman is in the field after taking last week off. ... After the final two regular-season events, the top 30 on the money list will advance to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on Nov. 1-4 at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz. ... Jay Haas won in 2005 and 2009. ... The tour is off next week. Play will resume Oct. 26-28 with the AT&T Championship in San Antonio.

Last year: England's Tom Lewis birdied five of the last seven holes for a 7-under 65 and a two-stroke victory over Spain's Rafael Cabrera-Bello. Lewis was making his third tour start as a professional.
Last week: South Africa's Branden Grace won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for his fourth European Tour title of the year, closing with a 2-under 70 at St. Andrews for a two-stroke victory. He opened with a 12-under 60 at Kingsbarns.
Notes: European Ryder Cup players Martin Kaymer and Francesco Molinari are in the field along with captain Jose Maria Olazabal and vice captains Darren Clarke, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Thomas Bjorn and Paul McGinley. ... Grace and Lewis also are playing along with Padraig Harrington, 2008 winner Alvaro Quiros and Colin Montgomerie. ... The Perth International is next week in Australia, followed by the BMW Masters in Shanghai.

Last year: Jason Kokrak won the second of his two 2011 titles, beating Mark Anderson by seven strokes. Kokrak had a tournament-record 20-under 264 total.
Last week: David Lingmerth won the Neediest Kids Championship in Potomac, Md., to wrap up a 2013 PGA Tour card. The Swede earned $108,000 to jump from 27th to seventh on the money list with $249,043, more than enough to guarantee a top-25 finish. Casey Wittenberg was second, a stroke back.
Notes: Wittenberg tops the money list with $407,453. ... The Miccosukee Tribe bought the 27-hole complex, previously known as Kendall Lakes and Miami National, in 2001. ... Jason Gore is in the field. He won the 2010 tournament for his record seventh tour title. ... The Jacksonville Open is next week, followed by the season-ending Web.com Tour Championship in McKinney, Texas.
