Tiger Woods will compete in his 23rd U.S. Open this week barring any last minute changes or withdrawals. Can he win the major for the first time since his iconic 2008 win?

Woods has not played in a U.S. Open since 2020 and has only made the cut once in his last four times competing. Even when he has made the cut in recent appearances, Woods has not finished within the top 20. His last top-20 finish was in 2010, when he tied for fourth with Phil Mickelson.

The 15-time major winner also has not won a major since the 2019 Masters. Though he made the cut at Augusta earlier this year, he finished in last place among those that made it to the weekend. Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship last month.
