The Southeast Tarrant High School Sports Awards, presented by Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, is now taking nominations for the Courage Award.
The award will be handed out at the show in the spring, which will be a live event. More details about the program are coming soon.
The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.
Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email Dana Sulonen at dsulonen@gannett.com. Nomination deadline is Feb. 28.
The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.
The Southeast Tarrant High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
