FALL RIVER β€” The Swansea Somerset Youth Soccer girls team is heading to the final round.

The 11U Seahawks are heading to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions this weekend after recently winning the SouthCoast Division title. The Seahawks completed the season with a record of 8-1-1 after beating Sandwich 6-2 in the division championship game.

It's the third team from the SSYSL (10th grade girls and 7th grade boys) that are heading to the MTOC state championship. It is also the first time that an SSYSL boys team has won their division.

A season ago, the same group of 10 and 11 year old girls were forced to play up a division in 2023. The Seahawks fell short in the title game against Dartmouth.
