After 11-year-old fan snags foul ball, Milwaukee Brewers LF Christian Yelich gifts him an autographed bat

Not only did a young baseball fan score the unique experience of catching a foul ball at an MLB game, but one day later, he got a high-five and a signed bat from the 2018 National League MVP.

In the bottom of the ninth of an eventual 7-2 Milwaukee Brewers victory Thursday against the Pirates, a fan, 11-year-old Christian Gale, snagged a foul ball with a nice catch along the wall deep in left field. Brewers left fielder Christian Yelich, after seeing the grab, went up and gave Gale a high-five as Gale held out a marker for an autograph.

Then, on Friday, Gale and his family were attending the next day's game. A member of the AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh television broadcast came to where Gale and his family were sitting to do an interview.

"It felt amazing," Gale said during the Friday broadcast of catching the foul ball. "I really wanted him to give me an autograph, so I was waiting for it, but he didn't give me one, so I'm waiting until the end of this game to check if he will give me one."

Gale and his family are on a tour of MLB ballparks and they decided to stay an extra day in Pittsburgh to go to PNC Park, where the Pirates play, to see if he could get the foul ball autographed.

He never got that, but instead went home with something even better.

Several innings later, the same person who did the interview delivered a bat signed by Yelich.

"I'm speechless," Gale said upon receiving it.

The caption Yelich wrote read: "Christian, great catch! See you in the Show!"
