DOVER, Del. β€” There have been plenty of times that a driver has had a dominant race car like Joey Logano did at Dover International Speedway only to fall victim to tough luck at the end.

Logano was having none of that on Saturday.

Logano simply manhandled the field and outran any possible misfortune that might have come his way en route to a dominant victory in the OneMain Financial 200 Nationwide Series race in front of a crowd of 29,000 slumber-induced fans at Dover.

Joey Logano emerges from his No. 18 Toyota after leading 184 laps at Dover.

"That's the second time we came here this year with a dominant race car and leading a ton of laps," said Logano, who collected $39,375 for his 16th career Nationwide win. "We just know what it takes to get a car to go fast here and we've got one heck of a notebook."

Logano's win completed a Nationwide season sweep on the high banks of Dover's one-mile concrete oval. It was the third time a driver completed the sweep at the racetrack over the last three years. Carl Edwards accomplished the feat last year, and Kyle Busch did it in 2010.

The win also marked Logano's series-best seventh win of 2012 in only 17 starts. He shares seat time in Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 18 Toyota.

"I told (crew chief) Adam (Stevens) that my monster trophy from last time was lonely and needed a friend, so I'm glad I was able to get one for him," said Logano, a regular on the Sprint Cup Series who will move to Penske Racing in 2013. "This was the same car we raced here in the spring."

Paul Menard finished in second place and was followed by Michael Annett β€” who tied his best-career finish β€” then Nationwide points leader Elliott Sadler and Busch.

"I didn't really know what to expect," Menard said. "That was my first time running a Nationwide race at Dover in several years. We could make good laps times but I couldn't move around and pass cars (early). We made some adjustments and then I was able to move around."

Logano was able to survive a restart with 19 laps remaining when Kasey Kahne had trouble coming up to speed while in second place and blocked up some of the cars behind him.

It was clear sailing from there as Logano was able to drive his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota away to an 0.876-second margin of victory over Menard.

"Joey was faster than us, and it took us too long to catch back up," Menard said. "That was really the first time I saw him all race was right there at the end."

Logano began the race from the third starting position and moved his way into the lead on lap 14. He ended up leading twice for a total of 184 of 200 laps, including the final 150 circuits.

Justin Allgaier appeared to be Logano's stiffest competition, but his No. 2 Chevrolet suffered rear-end issues while he was running in second place, and he was forced to go to the garage area for repairs on lap 146.

"There were a lot of good cars that got up there towards the end and then a couple had issues unfortunately," Logano said. "But that was a lot of fun."

The race was only slowed by three cautions for 15 laps and featured no accidents. It was completed in 1 hour, 37 minutes.

Sadler left Dover with a nine-point lead over Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who managed a ninth-place finish Saturday, with five races remaining in the season.

"This hasn't been one of our best racetracks, so I guess out of the ones left this was the one we didn't think we would be the greatest at, but we've got some great racetracks left," Stenhouse said. "We can't really hang our hat on anything, so we'll just go on."

Pole-sitter Darrell Wallace Jr., in Gibbs' No. 20 Toyota, settled for 12th, and Danica Patrick was 16th.

But even up front, Annett and the rest of the drivers knew that Logano had something special going for him on Saturday.

"I think we knew before we even got here that (Logano) was the car to beat just looking at his performance here last time," Annett said. "Joey obviously was the best."

Annett was just one of the rest.
