Ben Simmons lists New Jersey mansion for $5 million amid turmoil with 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons might be trying to get out of town sooner rather than later. 

Simmons listed his house in Moorestown, New Jersey, for $5 million this week days after the three-time All-Star was suspended for a game for conduct detrimental to the team. 

He is not expected to play in the team's home opener against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. 

Simmons reportedly purchased the 10,000 square foot, five-bedroom home in 2019 for $2.75 million. 

According to the listing on Trulia, the mansion comes with "a private gaming room, ventilated lounge, a full-service bar, full bathroom, large kitchenette/candy room with custom cabinets and Sub-Zero refrigerator dining area, outdoor lounge space with access to the backyard plus plenty of unfinished storage space."

The 25-year-old Simmons has been disgruntled since the summer and requested a trade after he was ridiculed for his late game play, especially in the Eastern Conference semifinal loss to the Atlanta Hawks. 

ESPN reports that Simmons is set to meet with the 76ers brass Friday to discuss his future status with the team. 

Simmons is in the second season of a five-year, $177 million contract and is scheduled to make $33 million in the 2021-22 campaign.
