Princeton tops San Jose State 69-54

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) β Spencer Weisz scored 16 points and Princeton topped San Jose State 69-54 on Sunday in a Wooden Legacy tournament consolation game.
Weisz was 6 of 8 from the floor, including 4 of 4 from beyond the arc, and had five assists. Hans Brase added 15 points, five rebounds and six helpers and the Tigers (2-5) shot 57 percent as a team and 8 of 17 on 3-pointers.
Steven Cook drilled a trey on Princeton's first possession and the Tigers scored the first 10 points of the game. San Jose State cut it to one on Isaac Thornton's 3-pointer with 5:30 left in the half but Princeton scored the next eight points and led 30-19 at intermission.
Princeton made a 13-5 run at the start of the second half and the Spartans (1-6) never really challenged.
