Lamar overwhelms Champion Baptist 128-54

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) β€” Tyran de Lattibeaudiere, who had a career-high 30 points, was one of four players in double figures as Lamar overwhelmed Champion Baptist College 128-54 on Monday night.

Donovan Ross had 26 points, Anthony Holliday added 14 with 11 assists and five steals, and Zjori Bosha chipped in 13 points.

Champion Baptist trailed only 33-24 at the 6:28 mark of the first half but Lamar's Dontavious Sears slammed home a dunk to start a 20-5 run that led to a 63-31 halftime advantage.

The Cardinals (3-6) made 53 of 81 field goal attempts (65.4 percent) while limiting Champion Baptist to 15-of-42 shooting (35.7 percent).

Lamar had 33 assists and grabbed 41 rebounds to 22 for the Tigers. The Cardinals also stole the ball 24 times.

Cody Conner led the Tigers with 22 points and Hayes Linville added 14.
